I work better if I take breaks

When a child does not want to do homework, several visual tools can be used to define the time dedicated to work.
For hyperactive children, these tools permit them to alternate quieter time that require attention and the time when they can let off steam.
The Pomodoro technique, or similar time management systems, help children better manage their work time building on regular breaks.

The technique is based on time sequences that are adjustable to the needs, age and task to be performed.
For example, the duration of a sequence might be 25 minutes of work time followed by a 5-minute break, etc.
After four sequences, a longer break might be planned.
